Frequently Asked Questions – And Answers
Everything parents ask about our pediatric occupational therapy services in Coral Springs, and how OTogether can help your child thrive.
What exactly is pediatric occupational therapy and how does it benefit my child?
Pediatric OT helps children build the motor, sensory-processing, and self-care skills they need for everyday success— from handwriting and dressing to emotional regulation. At OTogether, each plan is play-based and fully individualized. Explore our detailed program here: Pediatric Occupational Therapy in Coral Springs.
Which sensory processing issues do you treat?
Our therapists address over-responsivity (hypersensitivity), under-responsivity, sensory-seeking behaviors, vestibular and proprioceptive challenges, and mixed sensory profiles. See the our full sensory-focused therapy plans.
How do you evaluate Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)?
Your child receives a comprehensive assessment covering tactile, vestibular, proprioceptive, visual, and auditory systems. We combine standardized tests, clinical observation, and parent interviews to create a clear sensory profile and treatment roadmap.
Do you provide vestibular therapy within occupational therapy?
Yes. Our clinic is equipped with rotary swings, scooter boards, crash pads, and balance equipment to deliver targeted vestibular input that improves posture, coordination, and body awareness. Learn more on the Pediatric OT page under “Sensory Integration.”
What is a sensory diet plan, and will my child get one?
A sensory diet is a customized schedule of activities (e.g., wall pushes, chewy tubing, movement breaks) that keeps the nervous system regulated throughout the day. Every child in our Sensory Processing Disorder program receives a written sensory diet plus parent coaching for home and school carry-over.
Do you treat children with autism spectrum disorder?
Absolutely. Our therapists have advanced training in autism-friendly OT, DIR/Floortime, and visual supports. Visit the Autism-Friendly Occupational Therapy page for details.
Are group therapy sessions available?
Yes. We run social, sensorimotor, and pre-academic groups that let kids practice skills with peers in a fun, structured setting. See upcoming programs on our Group Therapy Sessions page.
Do you offer teletherapy or virtual OT for families outside Coral Springs?
We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth appointments for parent coaching, home-program check-ins, and select treatment goals. Contact us for current availability.
What are your insurance and payment options?
OTogether is proud to be in-network with several major insurance providers, including:

Insurance coverage can vary depending on your specific plan or employer group, so we encourage families to contact us for help verifying benefits before starting services.
If your insurance is not in-network, we happily accept out-of-network clients and can provide detailed superbills for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
We also offer flexible payment options to make sure every child can receive the care they need.
Can I find out if my insurance is accepted before scheduling?
Yes! To check:
Call our office at (954) 508-3430 and share your insurance carrier, plan name, and (if applicable) employer or group name.
Our team will verify whether your plan is in-network or if you’ll need to use an out-of-network reimbursement option with a superbill.
You can also confirm coverage directly through your insurance provider’s directory: just search for Occupational Therapy providers in Coral Springs and look for OTogether in the listings.
How often should my child attend OT sessions?
Frequency depends on the evaluation results and goals. most sensory-integration programs begin with 1–2 sessions per week plus a home program. Progress is reviewed every 6-8 weeks and the schedule is adjusted as needed.
